Purandar taluka is a land with historical and spiritual heritage,
but due to the frequent drought, the farmers here used to go to Pune
and other cities for labor for their livelihood.
It was not possible to give good education to our children due to
meager daily wages, and there is no means of communication to the
south side of Purandar Fort.
Kaldari, Bandalwadi, Thoptewadi, Misalwadi, Chivewadi,
Konukewadi, Bahirwadi, Asha Dongar-The people living in the wadi-
vasti have barely educated their children. W. Restricted to Shale only.
Girls had to leave their education to Adhya.
Mr. Vithalrao Takwale Guruji to start a school at this place. Mr.
Chandukaka urged Jagtap.Honoring his request, the founder
president Shri. Chandukaka Jagtap Mr. It was decided to start the first
Vidyalaya at Kaldari through the organization Shivaji Shikshan
Prasarak Mandal.
And the poor students in the hill country saw a ray of hope.

The school was started on 27/06/1989 with only 22 students in
Kaladari village at the foot of Purandar Fort. Due to Kedareshwar, the
idol of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Purandar fort, it was decided to name
this school as Kedareshwar Vidyalaya.
Secretary of the institution Hon. Mr. Prof. M. S. Jadhav as well as
Shri Sanjay Jalindre and villagers of the village were present.
As the first writer in the school and the first employee of the
institution, Shri Jadhav Pandurang Jijaba was appointed. As in
Vidyalaya Mr. Pawar P. D., Mr. Shinde R. V, Mr. White d. A., Mr.
Jagtap MN, during his time tried to increase the reputation of the
school by creating many facilities in this school.
Today, many former students of Vidyalaya are working in many important positions.
