Shri Shivaji Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Saswad, is a platform for the development of scientific, humanistic vision of education, culture and literature and all-round social integration.

In the very first year after its establishment, the Sanstha set up the Sri Krishna Balak Mandir, Saswad, a children’s temple, and set the stage for its educational work and a tough journey began. After this, Shri Kedareshwar Vidyalaya was started at Kaldari in June 1989, after surveying the neglected section of Purandar taluka. There were many obstacles and financial crises. Inspite of the crisis this educational work, which seemed to be almost impossible, is now going on smoothly. The efforts of the dedicated headmaster, trained and experienced teaching staff, are being supported by the students diligently. Hence, the tradition of excellent results continues even today. After this, the sanstha adopted Mahatma Gandhi’s mantra ‘Go to the village’ and established a total of 18 Marathi medium secondary schools, two primary, 3 English medium school and 1 B.Ed college in the remote and drought-sticken areas of Pune and Satara districts, one after the other. In the last 35 years, the Sanstha has achieved quantitative and qualitative growth.
